Ho-Oh Amulet

Since I made a special necklace for the Pokemon Platinum UK release, (because I'm just THAT geeky) I figured I'd do one for the pending HeartGold/SoulSilver launch too, only this time it was done pretty far in advance rather than the night before.

I was going to try and combine elements of Silver and Gold into the necklace, but I couldn't find suitable beads and I just plain don't like Lugia, so it turned into a Ho-oh theme. Because Ho-oh is awesome and doesn't get nearly enough love compared to the giant lizard-bird-dinosaur abomination with GIANT HANDS that passes for its counterpart. The beads I used were carnelian, crazy agate and green aventurine, because they reminded me of Ho-Oh's colours.

The gold 'beads' were made with Super Sculpey and Super Sculpey Firm and painted with Citadel acrylics. Pokemon and all associated terms and images belong to Game Freak/Nintendo.
